What do you want out of your life?
Every now and then it’s important to look in the mirror and ask yourself that big question.Am I living a fulfilled life? #BeUnapologeticallyYou Click To Tweet
We all start out with an idea of where we want to end up “some day”, but how many of us take a step back from our adult lives and determine if we’re happy in the lives we have ended up in? More often than expected, the life you have is nothing like the one you imagined as a passionate teenager. We get sidetracked along the way. We end up going on tangents. We find ourself in dead end jobs, jobs that don’t make us happy just plodding along.
Well, it doesn’t have to be like that.
You have the power to reconsider where you are and reassess where you want to be and pursue that passion. Only you have the power to get to where you want to be.
- Is this where I want to be?
- Does my life really and truly make me happy?
- Is there something I would rather be doing?
- How can I get to where I want to be?
- What would it take to make that happen?
Once you’ve determined if you would like to make changes to your life, you can start the process of putting plans together to get to where you want to be.
Let’s face facts, in this current economic climate, we often have to be grateful to have a job of any sort. Most households these days struggle to make ends meet on joined incomes never mind single income. So just throwing your job out the window is unrealistic and to be honest, a little reckless. Trust me, I tried it. Luckily for me I landed on my feet and ended up really happy but that isn’t always the way it goes.
No, you can’t just jump ship and I would never suggest that but tonight, when you get into bed, have a long think about the questions I’ve proposed today and if you find yourself realising that you’re living a life that doesn’t make you as happy as you possibly could be then start thinking about your passions and your purpose or start trying new things. Start getting involved in other activities that are outside of your usual activities and perhaps something will trigger an idea and inspire you.
You’ve only got one life, you’ve got to make the changes that matter to make that life a great one!
