When you’re lying awake at night, and the sound of silence fills your room, what do you think about? Do you wish you could be thinner? Do you imagine yourself richer, happier, more successful? We all have those moments. Weakness, when we allow ourselves, just for a second, to let our guard down. To accept that somewhere beneath the facade is a dream. A longing. A desire.
We go through life, on paths we think were planned for us before our time. Thinking we are passive in this world. Forgetting that we have the power to make our own decisions, to choose our own futures. We believe that our stories are etched in stone but it’s never too late. We only have one chance at life but that doesn’t mean we can’t make changes and follow our heart at any given moment.
We don’t have to keep running on the hamster wheel of life. We have the power, right now, to make the decision to be more than what we are. We can be anyone or anything we choose. Let me say that again. YOU HAVE THE POWER TO BE ANYTHING YOU CHOOSE. Only you know what your heart whispers to you late at night, in the darkness when you think that no one is listening. Only you know what your heart truly wants.
You owe it to yourself to listen. Don’t you?
Moving to the Netherlands I thought was a mistake. I hated this cold country, cold people. After moving from Amsterdam and in this small village I realised the sun is within me. All of sudden the people is friendly and helpful. And glad to say I’m part of a wonderful community where everyone is willing to help out if you only ask.
