That thing we call karma

29th May 2015 By Jonelle

I’m not a spiritual person. I believe in balance. I believe that if you do good, good things come back to you. So let’s talk about Karma.

Karma is the idea that what you put out into the world comes back to you.

What goes around comes around

You get what you deserve

Over the years it has proven itself to me over and over again.

I honestly have had so many experiences where things went horribly wrong and I was done over by people and I just let it be knowing full well that people get back what they put out. Sure enough, every time, karma has stepped in and put things back where they are supposed to be. It’s true what “they” say, that Karma sure is a bitch!

I think it kinda lets you off the hook, you don’t have to worry about the crap that happens to you. You don’t have to plan your revenge, you literally just have to carry on with life knowing full well that when the time is right, the person who has wronged you will get what’s coming to them.

Those who do you wrong may not know that the bad fortune that they are experiencing is a result of the bad that they have done but that’s okay. You can rest assured knowing that the things that happens to us, are a result of cause and effect. Now I know some of you are going to think oh sure, it’s “Kkarrrrrmmmmaaaa’ that’s responsible for the all the evil things like poverty and murder that happens in this world and that the idea is really stupid. So I just want to be clear here, that is NOT what I mean. I don’t think that children who go hungry are starving because they somehow deserve it, no Karma is more about the conscious decisions we make in this world. Like choosing to hurt someone – you can be pretty certain that something bad will happen as a result of that decision that you’ve made. Wishing ugly thoughts on others, yup you guessed it, you’re gonna get it 😛

Basically the idea is that the world takes care of you.

If things go wrong, don’t spend your life drowning in self-pity. Get up and get on with life knowing that sooner or later, the person who screwed you over is going to get it back on their doorstep. Just look at their life and you will start to notice the little ways that Karma creeps in and gets to work.

I love this idea because it removes you from negative thinking and revenge fuelled drama. You don’t have to stress, you don’t have to worry, you don’t even have to spend your precious time thinking about it. You can just breathe easy and let go.

You never again have to accept the crap that other people put out into this world. Just keep living your life in a way that makes you happy and let those who don’t, get what’s coming to them while you sleep peacefully.

I’ve always said my religion is “doing good.” What you put out into the world is what you get back! You just have to wait and see… eventually we all get exactly what we deserve!

Thank you 🙂 I honestly think it takes so much pressure off us to just let nature take her course instead of carrying the burden ourselves.. I suppose it’s the lazy way but it’s definitely the happier way!

      xx

I strongly work on this principle – it sets your mind free to just go on and leave the bad behind

Absolutely. So nice to not have to carry things around with you weighing you down!
